A Document Signer Certificate (also called a DSC for bulk or automated signing) is a Class 3 certificate specifically issued for server-side, automated, or high-volume document signing. Unlike standard DSCs that are stored on a USB token and require a human to physically plug in the token for each signature, Document Signer Certificates are installed on a server or HSM (Hardware Security Module) and can sign thousands of PDF documents per second without manual intervention.
Businesses that send bulk invoices under the GST e-Invoice mandate, issue e-waybills at scale, generate digitally signed certificates, run document management systems requiring automated PDF signing, or provide legally binding e-signature services need a Document Signer Certificate. It is also widely used by CA firms for bulk signing of client documents, by banks for digitally signed account statements, and by enterprises running DocuSign-integrated workflows.
DSCKart issues Document Signer Certificates from all three CCA-empanelled CAs — eMudhra, Capricorn and Sify — with 15-minute approval after documents and a server details letter are submitted via WhatsApp. The certificate is compatible with all major PDF signing libraries including iText, Apache PDFBox, and DocuSign, as well as the GST e-Invoice system and GSTN's bulk signing API.
