What is a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)?

A Digital Signature Certificate is a secure electronic key issued by a Licensed Certifying Authority in India that proves a signer's identity online. It is legally equivalent to a handwritten signature and is required on MCA, GST, Income Tax, EPFO, DGFT and e-tender portals.

How long does DSC approval take on DSCKart?

DSCKart issues most DSCs within 15 minutes to 2 hours after Video KYC. USB tokens are dispatched the same day pan-India with free shipping.

What is the difference between Class 2 and Class 3 DSC?

Class 2 DSCs were discontinued by CCA India in January 2021. Class 3 is now the only DSC issued and is accepted on every Indian government, tax and tender portal.

Which DSC do I need for GST registration, MCA filing or e-tendering?

A Class 3 Individual DSC covers GST, Income Tax and MCA21 filings for individuals. Companies and LLPs bidding on tenders or filing ROC forms in the entity's name should use a Class 3 Organisation DSC.

What documents are required to apply for a DSC?

For individuals: PAN, Aadhaar with linked mobile, a passport-size photo and email ID. For organisations, add Company PAN, incorporation/GST certificate and an authorisation letter. Video KYC replaces all physical paperwork.
